Mindanao Trade Expo 2019

This year’s Mindanao Trade Expo (MTE) was officially launched last August 10-14, 2019 at Abreeza Ayala Mall, Davao City.
In celebration of the 34th Kadayawan Festival, the 24th edition of MTE showcased not only Davao products but also distinctive raw materials traditionally produced by indigenous communities of Davao Region tribes such as B'laan, Mandaya, Manobo and many more.
This once again provides an opportunity for exhibitors to entice the visitors or consumers to buy their local products.
Various mentors or cacao experts gathered to discuss essentially about Philippine cacao - its status in the global chocolate map, its nutritional facts, artisanal chocolates made straight from raw cacao and agritourism especially in Davao region.
Ultimately, everyone also witnessed the first-ever cacao dessert-making competition as students from ICHEF partnered with Cacao City to use various brands as their ingredients.
This activity aims to increase awareness, particularly among domestic and foreign consumers, to patronize Davao-produced cacao and chocolates.
Clearly, Davao City vies for the title Chocolate Capital of the Philippines and hopefully put the city on the global chocolate map.
We are so grateful to have been part of this annual event and for everyone who came to support anything that is local!
